Patelco’s Mendez Appointed to CU Direct’s Board

Erin Mendez, president and CEO of Pleasanton, California-based Patelco Credit Union (291,841 members, $4.4 billion in assets) has been appointed by CU Direct’s board of directors as an associate director. Mendez has more than 25 years’ experience in the credit union and financial services industry, and has been the president of Patelco Credit Union since August of 2013.

Prior to Patelco, Mendez was the executive vice president and chief operating officer at SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union in Tustin, California. Mendez previously served as senior vice president of retail banking at American Savings Bank, senior vice president of operations and chief information officer for Western Financial Bank, and chief technology officer for Health Net Inc.
